The ‘F’ in the F-Series stands for ‘Field”, as in field mount enclosure, probably the second most rugged around, the first being the explosion proof E-Series which is virtually indestructible. The F-Series encompasses a whole family of indicators and displays based around the same IP66/67 housing in either Stainless Steel, Aluminium or GRP (Glass reinforced Plastic). It has proven itself over many years in the harshest of weather conditions from monsoon, ice & snow to salt laden offshore and ship borne atmospheres. It can really stand the heat and cold, with an ambient temperature range of -40 to +80oC as standard without modification. Couple this with ATEX, IECEx, FM and CSA approvals (not on all models) and you have a display that can live with just about any environment you choose to use it in. The range of capabilities and options is no less impressive, from frequency and analogue inputs for flowmeters, analogue temperature, pressure, level, speed to name put a few. These can be clearly displays on backlit digits up to 26mm high, have a multitude of outputs from simply transistor alarms to analogue retransmission and serial communications, even ticket printers and data logging are provided for, if required. A truly versatile range of products.
