UK Flowtechnik launches new ECO.pump

An economic option for dispensing of viscous liquids

UK Flowtechnik, a leading provider of solutions for fluid transfer technology have been showing off our Beinlich range of external gear dosing pumps in the UK – the ECO.pump.  These robust yet simple pumps offer an economically advantageous option for liquid dosing applications and are ideally suit to viscous fluids without fillers. Fluids with fillers are catered for via the company’s recently launched ViscoPump.

The ECO.pump can be used in many areas of industry and its uncomplicated design allows for high reliability in service and easy disassembly and reassembly for maintenance. The new design of gearing has the advantage of low-pulsation dosing, which coupled with direct entry onto the gear, ensures good volumetric efficiency from the start.

These pumps are well suited for applications in dosing, process techniques and process engineering.  In dosing technology they may typically be used for resins or polyurethanes, e.g. for gluing or joining body parts in the automotive industry.  They can also dose silicones, glues and sealing paints, e.g. for protecting printed circuit boards with electronic components for the automotive industry and in mobile communications. There are also many applications involving dosing of media without fillers, such as: isocyanates, adhesives, silicones, polyols, hotmelts, paints and oils.

The pumps offer displacements from 0.1 cc per revolution up to 6.0 cc, operating within a temperature range of -30 ⁰C up to +150 ⁰C.  All of the components are manufactured from a high-grade stainless steel, including the gears themselves, and the standard shaft seal is Viton with the option of PTFE.  (Beinlich are also currently developing the pump in hardened tool steel, so pump life can be prolonged when dispensing filled liquids).

UK Flowtechnik’s Technical Sales Engineer, James Lees commented “This new range of pumps offers a very economic choice for less demanding fluid dosing applications, and the simple design ensures reliability and ease of maintenance.  We have had a very positive initial interest for those applications where cost is important and such an entry level pump is ideal. We expect that the pumps will be popular with OEM machine builders, as their compact and lightweight construction makes them especially suitable for fitting in handling devices, linear systems and robotic devices.”
