Elettrotec’s IF-V flow indicator/meter uses a novel variation of the Variable Area principle to produce a compact, robust metal bodied meter giving a cost effective indication of flow rate. Instead of using a traditional conical shaped tube and float, Elettrotec uses a cylindrical float in a cylindrical holder with a ‘V’ shaped grove. This solution not only allows for a much shorter installation length but means a spring can be fitted above the float to give a measure of viscosity independence, so it can be used on media up to 200 cSt. All clean low viscosity media can be measured such a water, chemicals, coolant, light oil and heavy oil ie just about anything that is <205 cSt and compatible with the materials of construction.
