Brewing & Distillery Flow Meter

  • Beer

GPI’s G2 Brew Meter for beer production excels for batching in hot/cold water to mash Tuns and metering out wort & beers.

These versatile meters are ideal for small to medium-sized brewers who want to step up from a more artisan approach to series production, making your brew more constant with accurate measurement batch after batch. They are designed for ease of use and maintenance, with a clear display of the current flow rate and a total with a reset button. It is battery-powered with everyday AAA Alkaline batteries, so no more hunting around for specialised Lithium batteries. Options include a transparent cover to enhance the protection for the display whilst still leaving the buttons operable (906014-07), display stand-off for media temperatures up to 85°C (125527-01), remote kit for the display allowing temperatures as high as 121°C (113275-10) if hard piped vertically a 90° adaptor to turn the display so it can easily be read (125260-02) and a pulsed & 4-20 mA output module to give signals to remote devices (125100-10).

Customer calibration

GPI’s Brew Meter comes with a factory calibration certificate on water but also has the facility to correct for different densities and viscosities using a simple field calibration procedure (video tutorial available). Within minutes, your meter can move from water to wort or final beers, lagers, bitters or stouts. If you change the product or want to check the meter, redo the field calibration procedure anytime. There is no need to send it away for expensive calibrations; do it yourself if you have an accurate known volume or set of scales.

If you’re into spirits and blending, this customer calibration feature can tune the standard meter (without high-temperature stand-off, remote kit, or analogue output) to work accurately on Spirit alcohols and Ethanol while offering ATEX Intrinsically Safe protection.
