Thermal Flow Switches and Monitors for Air & N2

Thermal or Calorimetric flow devices use the rate of cooling of a heated element to determine the velocity of air/Nitrogen (N2) in a small capillary. To measure larger flows an orifice is installed in the main line with forces a small percentage of the flow through the capillary to be measured. This measured velocity is directly proportional to the flow in the main line and a total flow rate can be inferred. They can simultaneously display flow rate alongside total, max value, line name or set point value on a tri-colour screen which can be rotated to face any direction. Making them ideal for measuring and monitoring gas usage from bottles, for Nitrogen blankets, spray heads, machine air lines or apportioning air use to various cost centres.
